Augmented Reality for Educational Purposes

Educational Suppliers and Publishers are under pressure to offer quality content that will be didactic yet engaging. The main source of this pressure is the Ministries of Education, School Boards and private schools. Those entities understand that in the hectic split screens arena, the only way to keep students engaged, is with sophisticated visual aids. An eBook with the same look and feel as a printed book will not work. A simple link to an external source or pop-up video are boring and not delivering any new experience.
As per our research, it seems that one of the only technology that is attractive and educating is the Augmented Reality.
Using innovative Augmented Reality, we can capture students’ attention with vivid 3D content, helping you to gain the battle against the cool stuff that pupils find in the Internet, as you can see in this short video.
Several firms are now developing Augmented Reality (AR) tools that convert 2D text and image to a fascinating 3D object. Using Tablets, students can zoom in and out, hover above, below, around and inside Objects, in order to research and explore in a fun, engaging and entertaining environment.
In regular AR, the tablet cam must face the object at all times. Compedia, (www.compedia.net), eliminated this annoying need, by employing AR+: A unique engines acquire the static image, so the students can conveniently move or rest the tablet on the desk. This feature is extremely important when obtaining Objects from the Smartboard or capturing it in an exhibition.

This easy-to-use tool allows you to add digital interactive AR and virtual reality layers to e-books, online curriculum, printed textbooks, slides and other physical and digital  learning materials.
